I made true to my promise na susuportahan ang KathNiel sa
promo ng “Barcelona” as I dropped by their mall show at SM Fairview, around 20
minutes away from where I live. Too bad, Daniel was sick and didn’t make it.
Still, I was so happy to see Kathryn na ang ganda-ganda at
ang blooming. She gave me a really tight hug pagkababa pa lang niya ng van. At
naramdaman ko yung excitement niya to promote “Barcelona”. She was smiling sa
buong show, and ang taas ng energy niya sa pagkanta, pati ako napaindak even if
I didn’t know the song. She really tried reaching out the thousands who flocked
the mall’s activity area. Yung… Kahit nasa malayo ka, makikita at mararamdaman
mo siya kasi kumaway at bumati siya sa mic.
Kathryn’s magic is still very much there. Actually, wala pa
ring nagbago. From the last time na nag-show sila ni Daniel sa SM Fairview
(yung Christmas Duets album nila, December last year), ganung ganun pa rin ang
pagtanggap ng tao. At nakakabiib ang kanilang diehard supporters – years later,
at solid na solid pa rin sila!
It was also a delight to see Joshua Garcia, who is part of
the film. Will definitely write a blog entry about him soon, pero just want to
say na masaya ako na makita siya where he is now. Ang laki ng ipinagbago niya,
for the better, from his PBB days. At nakikitaan siya ngayon ng malaking
potensyal as an actor.
Don’t miss “Barcelona: A Love Untold” which will open in
more than 250 cinemas this Wednesday, September 14.
