Keeping Up With KathNiel and LizQuen

Over the past few days, had the opportunity to catch up with two of the country’s hottest loveteams, KathNiel and LizQuen, na nami-miss na nating makita regularly on TV or the big screen. So what’s up with them?

Naka-chika ko shortly both Kathryn and Daniel sa backstage ng ASAP last week. I congratulated them sa box-office success ng “Barcelona: A Love Untold”, na kumita na ng P300 million worldwide. Kathryn told me na naganap nga ang pitching ng possible projects nila in the future, though hindi sure pa if serye or movie ang uunahin. But one thing is sure, as a source close to me confirmed (at bahagi ng project na ito) that their next TV series would be really exciting and “kakaiba” mula sa mga nagawa nila before.

Last night, naghakot muli ang KathNiel ng awards from Push Awards 2016, individually and as tandem. The loveteam won 4 awards: Push Like Group/Tandem, Push Tweet Group/Tandem, Push Gram Group/Tandem and Push Play Group/Tandem. Kathryn won for herself Push Tweet Female Celebrity and Push Gram Female Celebrity awards, while Daniel bagged the Push Tweet Male Celebrity honor. The royal tandem thanked their supporters for these achievements, with Daniel saying on his speech, “Salamat sa lahat ng sumusuporta sa amin, sa LizQuen, sa JaDine… Kayo ang bumubuhay sa amin!” Congratulations Kathryn and Daniel!

As I posted yesterday, nagsimula naman na ang shoot for LizQuen’s movie under Star Cinema, directed by Cathy Garcia Molina. At sa napakalamig na Tagaytay ang location.

I can’t post yet most of the pictures I got from the set to avoid spoiling the key elements of the film, but as Direk Cathy described it to me, it is a “transition” from what we usually see from the two. Sa looks at sa acting pa lang nila, based on what I saw, iba nga talaga ito at kaabang-abang.

Was on the film’s location for two straight days. The first day was with Liza (walang Enrique), when we bonded while the shoot is on breaks. (Check my previous entry, “LizQuen Movie Update”)

The next naman, last night, kasama na si Enrique, kung kalian pinatikim ako ni Quen ng “Meet Your Maker” hot sauce, purchased abroad, na napaka-anghang kahit isang patak lang at magli-linger sa dila mo for ilang minutes din. It is said to be the hottest hot sauce in the world. He also let me tried his and Liza’s PS4, and even coached me while playing the horror game, “Rush Blood”, which was really exciting and fun. Truly unforgettable, not just because first time experiences ko ‘yun, but nakita kong wala pa ring nagbago kay Quen… Still the kind and generous guy I know.

At kahit na humahampas na ang malakas na  hanging dala ni Super Typhoon “Lawin”, go pa rin sila nina Direk Cathy sa shoot, at may rain effect pa ang eksena.

Indeed, blessings continuously pour in for these four young superstars of this generation, because of their attitude na hindi binabago ng kasikatan through the years. Hindi man natin sila regularly nakikita lately, mas nae-excite tuloy tayo sa mga parating nilang proyekto, na pinaghahandaan at pinagaganda talaga nila para sa ating mga dakilang fans nila.
